"It is by no means rare for the person under this illusion to perceive the external world under a peculiar aspect, as in a dream; he becomes a stranger to himself, ready to be his double, present as a simple spectator at what he is saying and doing. This "depersonalization", to employ a term used to describe the experience by M. Dugas, is not identical with or necessarily a symptom of false recognition; it has, however, a certain relationship to it. Moreover, all the symptoms differ in degree.
The illusion, instead of being a complete picture, may often present itself as a mere sketch. But, sketch or finished picture, it always bears its original character."
Henri Bergson,  "Memory of The Present And false Recognition" ("Revue Philosophique", December, 1908)

April 19th, 6pm. Lea Porsager had a 2 hour session with hypnotist Lunøe. Her decision to be hypnotized came as a direct result of her fixation with Henri Bergson´s article "Memory of The Present and False Recognition" and the images she produced for "Double Miss".
Let it be noted, that during this hypnosis, Lea Porsager immediatly felt the presence of another, a body identical to her own – "just bigger" – she herself described it. As hypnotist Lunøe guided her deeper into this doppelgänger phenomenon, she felt herself dissolve into a foreign presence. From inside her own doppelgänger, Lea Porsager saw her real self as a tiny copy placed on her ankles.
